why is there a link between the location of volcanoes and the incidience of earthquakes

A large percent of the earthquakes and volcanoes are created on fault lines, but mostly converging fault lines, the two plates move together and create volcanoes, or earthquakes. fault lines change extreamly slowly and it will be hunderds of years before a noticable change has occured.
It is extreamly rare for a earthquake to occur in the middle of a plate, as is a volcano being in the middle of a plate. Volcanoes and earthquakes occor in generally the same places this makes people that live on fault lines in greater danger of natural disaster than people that live in the middle of plates. Earthquakes and volcanoes are mostly the same thing except with a volcano there is an opening from the center of the earth which lets out the magma from the center of the earth.
This evidence shows that earthquakes and volcanoes occur in the same places because of movment of the plates and magma below the eartyhs surface.
